Apply for the Airdrie Board of Youth Affairs!

Are you between the ages of 13 - 22?
Are you an Airdrie resident?
Are you able to commit to weekly meetings? (Monday 4:30 - 5:30 PM at City Hall)
Can you commit to participating or volunteering in initiatives/subcommittees throughout the school year?

A member from the board will be in touch with applicants after the deadline in early October via the email provided.


The personal information on this form is collected under the authority of Section 4(c) of the Protection of Privacy Act (“the Act”) and will be used by the Airdrie Board of Youth Affairs.


It will be treated in accordance with the Collection of Personal Information provisions (Part 1, Division 1) of the Act. Questions concerning collection of this information can be directed to the City's ATIA-POPA Coordinator at 400 Main St. SE, Airdrie, AB T4B 3C3 or 403.948.8816.

Membership

The ABYA consists of a maximum of 11 active members;

Membership for is open to youth ages 13 to 22​;

Membership is limited to youth that are residents of the City of Airdrie.

Qualities of ABYA Members

Considers themselves a "Changemaker";

Motivated and passionate about volunteering, community development and bringing your vision and voice to the City;

Willing to work in a team oriented environment and provide others feedback and guidance;

Seeking to make a positive difference within your local community.

Expectations of ABYA Members

Exhibit leadership, engagement and mentorship to fellow ABYA  members;

Promote and communicate ABYA's mission in the local community;

Demonstrate commitment to the ABYA and it's pursuits;

Attend all meetings unless previously excused.
